CCTV Security CameraCreating a Safer Campus Environment is a Top Priority

Campus safety and security for students, staff and visitors is a top priority at ACC. The bond proposal includes the following safety enhancements:

Secure Access – Campus buildings would be equipped with card readers requiring entrants to use an ID card.

Improved Lighting – Upgraded lighting systems will ensure external pathways, parking lots, and interior lighting meet acceptable standards.

Closed Circuit Cameras – Old camera systems will be upgraded and new cameras will be installed in the many areas on campus that do not have them. This will cover both external views of the campus grounds and inside campus facilities.

Emergency Phones – To improve communications, phones will be installed in various locations that can be used to contact Campus Police in the event of an emergency.

The cost of these upgrades and improvements is estimated at $1.5 million.
